Join us on Mandela Day

Something amazing is happening this Mandela’s Day and it’s all taking place at the Cape Quarter with Jenny Morris and guess what? It involves you!

Bring your veggies, chopping board, peeler and knife and join us in preparing soup and bread with all the food going to The Service Dining Rooms to feed those who are hungry, something our once great leader would be proud of.

Magic Radio will be down in full force to make the day even more special. Make sure to join us or tune in for what promises to be a truly giving day.

Volunteers from the Provincial Treasury, Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Local Government as well Transport and Public Works will join forces with citizens and other volunteers to prepare vegetables for soup and to bake bread during 30 minute slots.

Want to get volunteer? Email nonzwakazi.george@westerncape.gov.za to submit your name as a volunteer by 11 July.
